Leave it alone. Most likely it's just stunned and in shock. It'll sit there for a while then will fly away. You bothering it will only cause more stress.

breaking its spine would cause paralised stuff

try to see that if you move it

if it hops around

or moves it wings

if so

leave it

if it cannot move anymore

end its misery properly

A dove flew hard into my window and I went to go look and saw it writhing around in the grass. It's just sitting there right now, moving it's head around, but not making attempts to fly.

What should I do?
