Brown recluse spider?!?

Well, spiders don't bite sleeping humans, they just don't.

This would be too severe to be a recluse bite, or likely any other bite.

This would more likely be a skin condition of sort, possibly a common abscess or staph infection.

If any spider bit you in your sleep, it is because you crushed it against you, and you would find the remains of the culprit in your bed.

Yes, the brown recluse is considered medically significant, and populations have been found in the southern most counties of Ohio, but if I can point out, the recluse is probably the most overhyped spider on the planet. They often do cause a small aggravating lesion where they bite, but 95% of them heal nicely on their own.

If you want some of the best horror fantasy of the digital age, just Google brown recluse bite photos.

Spiders that only look like a brown recluse are not dangerous. Spiders that are brown recluses are dangerous. You provide no photo and no description, so you tell me: Was it a brown recluse or wasn't it?
