Birds generally don't like the cold if they come from tropical or subtropical regions. It's good for birds to spend some time out in the sun though for vit D and feather health, however just a few hours and not all day or on windy days.
Leaving birds outside unattended can draw attraction to predators as well and less chance to socialize with its "flock"
Only put him outside during the day when you are home because other larger birds can come down and threaten him.
At night just cover his cage with a light weight blanket and you won't hear a peep out of him until the sun comes up.
NO!!!! you dont wanna do that it could be too cold outside or they could get attacked by other birds or animals it would not be a good idea you could put them in a sepreat room and block the cats off from entering the room
Sure, but you'll freak out the birds horribly. They are stuck in a cage and deadly fast predators are everywhere. They'll die from stress and fear. One day you might even find a raptor perched on top of the cage while your caged birds are freakin out from a heart attack. Goodluck.
I thought the same thing but I noticed that my bird doesn't become active until I take the tarp off of his cage. I also noticed he doesn't like it when it is cold so putting them outside might not be the best idea
No cus he or she will escape or u could build an avery as well it will be too cold for them i would say NO !
I live in an apartment in Los Angeles, California with a balcony. I want to get a budgie but I want to put the cage on my balcony because I have two cats, and I'm a very light sleeper and would most likely wake because of the noise.
