Cockatiel sleeping issue?

By all means put it in a room letting the room go dark with Sundown and light with Sunup so the birds can sleep all the dark hours as they would in the wild. NO lights on, NO disturbances and NO exceptions. The length of the darkness will automatically match their needed sleep time for that part of the year. A cage cover will not be needed.

That's probably best if you do that. Putting an old towl over his cage will also help but will not stop the noise.

I have a new pet cockatiel, I received it yesterday.during the evening and night time I usually watch TV or talk to friends. The bird is in my bedroom during the day. But at night I am afraid that the light and the noise will keep him up.will It be okay if I move the bird into a quieter and darker room every night and then bring it back in the morning?
