Do you think this crocodile was baiting to get attacked?

I don't see why it didn't move other than trying to bait an attack and wanting to get attacked.

Like Jamie says...it did not know it was going to be attacked..until it was to late.

No, I think, as with pretty much all crocs and gators of that size, he was sunning, resting, and did not expect to be attacked like that, and obviously tried to get away when it noticed no warning was going to work and it was actually being attacked and not checked out(as many big cats actually do before just attacking like that LOL).

Saying it did that on purpose when they're ambush predators and not the type to bait, especially not using themselves, and when it visibly tried to flee right as it realized IT was being ambushed, prove that theory wrong. It was a case of sunning giant being full of itself as they always are, and just didn't realize the danger. Perhaps it was even asleep and tried to flee when it noticed that shadow looming above it. lol

*ADD* If you ever watch shows about crocodiles, alligators or caimen, you will see once they're that size, they often feel secure sunning and not paying attention. These animals are full ambush predators. What happened here was: When it finally noticed it was about to be pounced on, it tried to threaten and run for water at the same time. They always open their mouth wide when being harassed or attacked, showing teeth, even hissing and growling. YES they do growl. It may also have been lethargic, which they are when they go to sun and stay there for a while.

He turned to ward off the predator, or did you really expect another predatory animal, or any, to just runlikehell when it's being bitten and not try to bite back? LOL Obviously it's going to fight off its attacker. There was zero baiting involved, he was simply sending a threat as he tried and failed to flee.

"ADD" Zebra aren't predators. And heck yes they do turn and show teeth, they bite and kick when they can't get away unless they're subdued first. Key words there are "prey animals" though, they don't have the kind of weapons or power to fight like that, but sometimes they do. They don't just lay down and be killed, what a silly thing to say. Alligators/Crocodiles/Caiman are aggressive animals. Very territorial, they will FIGHT when provoked and can't escape or see no reason to. They SUN themselves and rest, no predator is going to use itself as bait unless it has a functioning part specifically for that since injury often means DEATH to them in the wild.

Oh yes, this zebra is indeed running it's @ss off...after a mama cheetah and her cubs, trying to kill them to protect her own family. It may be a youngster it went after, but they've gone after adults too and mama WAS there, I've seen them run down leopards and even stand up to lions if they must.
