Ducks trying to make them less scared of you?

Your doing it right. The only thing you can really do is force your love on them til they are used to it and realize you are not going to harm them. They arnt one day just going to decide that they like you on there own without a lot of human contact. I love chickens and ducks! There cuties :)

Waaaa Waaaa Waaaaa , means "get away, Me badazz MF !

I just recently got 3 chickens and then 2 weeks later 2 more and 2 ducks all of the chickens are around 2 months old and the ducks were about 2 weeks now they are almost three. My first three chickens (a silkie and two Easter eggers) run up to the door when I call them and follow me on my way out and the whole time I'm in there. We fed them crickets everyday until the new additions. We will start back once everything is settled. The ducks run away from me when I get into the pen. I pick them up every time I go out there to try and get them used to me and less scared, but I don't know if that's the best way to go about them. I tried to feed them bread but they weren't interested. Is there anything else I should or shouldn't do so they will not be so scared and maybe even follow me or get excited to see me. I pick up my silkie a good bit and he still tries to run when I try to get him but he's very calm in my arms. Hopefully he will start liking it soon.
