It should be ok as long as you rinsed it properly, if your not sure then rinse the cage out again. When cleaning out cages from now on buy some pet spray from your local pet store that is designed for cleaning out pet cages. However I think you should be ok keep an eye on your bird for a few days
Dettol won't kill mites... you need a specific insecticide for that.. dettol kills germs, not insects
The cage will be o/k.To treat the bird use (ivermectin) this is the up to date treatment for cage birds,
I think I rinsed it off ok, but my neighbours say it will die!
