PS---It took me over a year to handle one of my rehomes. Don't lose patience. That bird turned out to be my best buddy. I had him for 23 years and he died at the age of 27. Get a big box of band aids. It is worth the effort.
All i can promise is it will defo hurt. You won't lose a finger but the bird will know you are afraid and the chances are it will totally dominate you after one bite.
I'm trying to train my sun conure to perch on my hand. However, the owner he previously had never really made the effort to interact with him, so he's kind of weary of me. I'm worried that he'll bite me, and although I'm completely fine with being bitten, I just don't want to lose a finger. How serious can their bite be?
