Birds are REALLY hard to take care of. I'm not really talking you out of it, but for the birds sake you should know what it's like. I'll also help you on how though.My family owns a bird and I'm also 14 and I don't think I could manage him alone.His water(even if it's full) has to be changed and cleaned daily.And hot or warm water will kill him.Any thing with too much salt will also kill him.So we have to make special noodles for him because of the salt problem.Parrots and birds are known for also going on hunger strikes if they don't get the same food they have had their whole lives.A certain brand of seed for my parrot along with some noodles every now and then and peanut butter toast.birds also need company or they'll get depressed because they're social.If you have one like mine that talks you need to talk to him frequently and work with him.Also you need a pretty darn big cage to hold them.We have a cage that's taller than me and takes up the whole corner.Think about it ok.

No pet shop can sell to a minor. They will tell you to come back with your parnts. How do you plan on hiding it? They WILL hear it or see it or see you sneaking in supplies and then make you get rid of it.
When school starts how are you going to hide it? They will find it and get rid of it while you are at school

Well I'm 14 and my mom said i could get a bird. But only because i told her my friend had one, so how can i get one from petco? I have a ride there, and i have money, but you have to be 18 to actually go in and buy the bird, i was thinking i could just ask a random person out front to buy me one. Any ideas? And dont bother talking me out of it, answer the question and thats it.
