Being that you havent given any specifics Im going to have to be very generic. Study the animal very indepth. Learn everything you can. What does it eat, what kind of place does it habitat, etc. Then you can use this to your advantage. Whatever you do will take time. Dont try rushing it. You will have to make the animal feel comfortable with your presence first and go from there. The better you can make the animal feel with that, you should be able to expand into feeding and so on. The relationship will grow from there. The bottom line is that it will have to come from love and respect rather than alterior motives. Hope this helps!
Wild animals can't reason like you can. They have absolutely no idea what you might be trying to do. Fight or Flight is all they are genetically capable of understanding.
Find out what it likes to eat and feed it all the time I hope you're talking about a herbivore.
