No matter where you are on planet Earth you are never more then 10 feet from a spider. That's a fact.
That depends on how it got into your home. If it was a fluke incident of it slipping into the door while it was being held open then it's likely to be the only one. If it got in through a crack or hole in your house theres will likely be more. In either case the only way to be sure is to ensure that you either use a repellent or something and seal any possible entrances for them. Another way to think of it is by what kind of spider it was. If it was big then don't worry since they never come in groups. If it was tiny there may be a few since they don't need as much territory, so there are more of them in any given area.
