If they are scabbed over it will be ok. In the wild they would have much space to avoid the other chickens and the mom hen would have an easy time protecting then.
yesterday two chicks came out of the egg and the larger chickens have been picking on one of them. we put the chicks and their mother apart from the rest and now that problem is solved. however the chick has some wounds and bald spots. will this heal by itself or is there a kind of medicine that can help this? we have some "tea tree" or "lavender oil" or disinfectant, maybe that will help? we also have medicinal alcohol but that seems a bit heavy for them.
