Take care of the possum problem first. If a possum killed your rooster, what's to stop it from killing the next one? Deal with the actual problem first. If you do get another rooster, it better be meaner than the last one or you'll just have another dead rooster, right? But then you'll have a big old mean rooster and it will probably bully the hens, too.

Don't waist your time getting another rooster. just remove the problem possum.

I once had 1 rooster and 4 hens , 2 of them were him's and the other 2 were not ,,

I'm not gonna lie , there was problems between the rooster and the hens that not belongs to him ,, by time they just went with it :)

I'm afraid since there is now not a rooster that the possums will get my hens since that's how the rooster died it was protecting them but my brother says that if I get a new rooster it will try to kill the hens because they're not his hens. Should I get another one?
