That finch looks like she's in rough shape. You really need to separate her. Put her in her own cage next to the budgie cage so she can still see and hear them. If you can, but her a big flight cage and get 1 -3 more females for her to bond with.

My 3 year old female finch has been living with two budgies for is entire life. She had come with a mate who died soon after. The female budgie does attack my finch at times but in general no serious harm has been done.

Recently i noticed that my finch has lost a lot of feathers on her head and wings. Though she looks fine (normal eating and sleeping habits and poop looks okay) I'm pretty worried.

Can someone please tell me if she has been attacked or is she ONLY MOLTING?

I'm afraid of separating them as my finch probably recognizes the budgies as her family and may get depressed if I separate her...

WHAT DO I DO???
