The shark has changed very little in the past 50 million years. which statement best explains why?

More A than anything else. there's little reason for them to become more "efficient" within their environment.

Mutations that don't help them become more efficient are lost because of the low-ish reproductive rate, but that's secondary to the already being adapted to their environment.

None.

!A Darwin argued that even in an unchanging environment evolution should still take place due to competition between members. Even if the environment has not change physically the evolution of other predator and prey species would have changed the living environment.

!B Very long periods of time would compensate for a low reproduction rate. Humans also have a low reproduction rate and are supposed to have evolved over a much shorter time.

a

A- the shark is well adapted to its relatively unchanged enviorment

B- Sharks have a low reproductive rate and show little change in their genetic codes and from one generation to the next

C- sharks need to change by adapting to a changing enviornment

i think it is either A or B. Please help!
