If you're certain mother bird is dead, maybe you could bring the eggs back, depending on the laws of your country (but it's illegal to bring wildlife back home no matter what in some countries). Be ware that hatching such eggs and feeding the chicks is A LOT of work.

It may in fact be better to leave the eggs outside to become the meal of other wildlife.

I was sitting on the porch and a bird tried to come back to the nest. She ran straight into the trunk and died. Her eggs have just been sitting there and there is a freeze to come tomorrow. I don't want them to die.
