I got bit 4 days ago by what I thought was a just normal mosquito bite on my shin. It started off how it usually does for me. When I get a mosquito bite I get big red welts where the bite happened and they usually swell up too. This bite swelled up and it would hurt to walk and touch for about a day or 2. And it would itch like hell. But a day later it started to get discolored like a bruise. It's a purple like color now with some red streaking out in random directions. It doesn't hurt or itch anymore. It's not really a shape. Just kind of a glob of purple and red. Maybe it's a little like an oval. It's a single bite so I don't think it's a spider but I'm worried that it might have been a tick bite and that I have Lyme disease. Or is it just a bad allergic reaction and there is nothing to worry about?
