What Species of Cockatoo Is Best For Me?

Get a book about the different kinds of cockatoos. Read it. You will soon be able to figure out which kind would be best for you. You will also learn about care, feeding, taming, molting, changes in personality at maturity, symptoms of illness and first aid.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you don't handle the bird every day, it will stop being tame.

I think umbrella cockatoo is best. they get along with other animals and thhey talk and sing and do a head dance.

I have Zebra Finches currently and have experience with different animals that need lots of attention, and I've even cared for my friend's Conure, but I really love the affection the bigger birds (mostly) give. I don't exactly have much space in the room I plan to have the Cockatoo in, therefore, I'm looking into the smaller species, but anything's possible, I guess. There are some days in which I am not really able to interact with my pets much (let alone people I know). So, if possible, can you list the bird you feel is right for me and its attention and cage requirements and possibly a general price range for the bird itself? And maybe some experiences?

I went to a bird store with my friend once that lets you pet and interact with the birds they are selling, and I fell in love with an Umbrella that climbed onto my arm. That was a while ago, so I'm hoping they still do that when I go back to browse...

Thanks!
