They are both Coyotes but they are different types. They have started interbreeding more, especially up where you are. That larger ones are more aggressive and more of a threat and that interbreeding, brings out that larger more aggressive side. There had been a debate for many years as too if they were actually different species or not .
Yes, the eastern and western ones are different.
One seems to be depicted as small and almost foxlike and the other is large like a Wolfe or large dog...I live in Alberta and have seen both of these animals and am wondering if maybe people are using the name wrong or there are to different species...anyway appreciate the help
