Will a bird fly away when you open up it's cage?

Yes unless you tame it first. The bird needs to get used to you being around then once it seems comfortable you can let it out in a small enclosed room with no windows or doors open to see if you can easily get it back into the cage. Once it's tame it will always come back to you unless you let it outside cos it will then fly away.

It depends how good you treat it and how we'll you train it.

I don't know specifically about gallah's, but birds are almost like cats, in the physcological way. Both are not particularly wired to feel emotions (eg.loyalty) towards an owner, but more of a person/object used to provide for the animal and protect the animal. So, in comparison to loyal and loving animals like dogs, birds would be similar to a cat. If you treat the bird right (feed them properly, hygienic conditions, etc), then it is most likely to stay as you will be their only source of survival and comfort. Also training the bird will help to keep it tame to you. Be mindful though, my friend let her bird fly outside one day. A large gust came and took the bird away, which tried flying back but was too inexperienced as a flyer.

Nope

If the cage is outside it will fly away. It also won't live long since it won't know how to take care of itself and how to avoid predators! If you get a bird keep it in the cage of let it out of the cage inside.

if it is an ostrich or emu, it will not fly, but if it's Big Bird, then it should be possible that it will fly.

Seriously, if it is capable of flying, then why not. What's those wings are for then?

Well it will definitely fly away . Some birds like pigeons when they flew away they come back to their owner after some time but it only happens when there is a strong connection . I had pigeons and my parents said to cut their wings a little so they wont fly and we did and they did not fly after coming out of the cage and i don't think so that it hurts them while cutting their wings .

So you really have to get your bird out because you have to clean its cage :)

Hey people.

Ok this is just discussion, i was thinking of bying a bird in the future, maybe a Gallah.Thing is ive never had a bird before, so i was thinking about this. What happens if you open up the cage? will it leave and dissappear?By the way i do not like watching the bird inside the cage for 24hours, isnt there a way to let it breathe for a moment? And how shall i know if i can put it back in there afterwards?Do birds feel loyalty?

Ok thats all, anyone experienced please tell me your opnion.I'm rly thinking of buying one next year..
