Neither,once they reach sexual maturity they are hormonal monsters that are as needy as a two year old.They both require large cages,special diets and you have to have a large amount of patience and time on your hands.I am talking from my own experiences.I have taken care of an african grey and they stress easily.They are a very sensitive species of bird who do not adapt well to change.I use to own an amazon before my family immigrated to the United States and she was and still is a total monster.She only lets my grandfather and my dad touch and hold her.If I were you I would get a bird that has a smaller beak that will not leave you with permanent scarring and deep puncture wounds.Something like a conure,cockatiel or a parrotlet.There are a variety of conure species including greencheeks,suns,patagonians and blue crowned.
