Can there be a way to make fur without killing the animal?

For example like Sheepskin, the sheep don't have to die they just get their fleece sheared.

One way is to shear the animals, such as sheep, goats, rabbits, llamas, camels, etc, and create a woven backing for the fleece. This way you can get fleece over and over again from the same animal, without harming it.

The other way is to wait until the animal dies of natural causes before taking the pelt.

We do NOT get sheepskin by shearing the sheep. That's wool. SheepSKIN involves removing the SKIN of the sheep. The skin may or may not still have the wool still attached.

To make wool, we shear the sheep and use the fleece.

To make sheepskin, we skin the sheep. It is not alive when this is done.

I suppose you could shave the animal.
