What has more heat: a frozen elephant or a flea on fire? Which one has a higher temperature?

Nothing has heat. A flame doesnt have heat, an elephant doesnt have heat, an ice cube doesnt have heat. Heat is not something contained. Heat is a the transfer of energy which is dirven by a temperature diffence with out a temperature differnce enegy wont flow..i.e no heat. Temperature on the other hand is a property of a system. The flea is at a higher temperature than a frozen elephant.

Temperature is what you would read if you stuck a thermometer in both.

Obviously the flea has more temperature.

But heat is the amount of energy.

Though the flea has much higher temperature than the elephant, the elephant is much, much more massive and has more internal heat than the flea.
