What should I get a cockatiel or a budgie/parakeet?

Out of all you have listed, I would recommend either the budgie or cockatiel. Although the cockatiel is a louder bird, they make great companions, if you find the right one and are great house welcomes. If you want a quieter bird then the budgie is the way to go. They are a little shy but if you get them at a younger age, they will to get used to you. My personal favorites are the finches. They are beautiful birds and have gorgeous chirps and great with people (don't bite) but don't like to be handled as much. You can handle them a little but not a whole lot. If you need any more help looking for the right bird, ask the care taker at the pet store. Hope I helped =)

Hey I would recommend budgie since they are the less quietest and if you get them at a young age and you handle them they will trust you and make a great companion and they come in so many different colors and patterns so a budgie would be better for you as a beginner. They are also not that expensive as other birds and their food and toys aren't expensive either. My personal favorite is a sun conure and a quaker but in some states a Quaker is illegal and my sun conure and Quaker are loud . Hope I helped and good luck with your new bird!

Well, if you are looking for a bird for beginners budgies are perfect! I have 3 and they are very cute. Some can be very chirpy but others aren't - it depends on your bird. They are also very cheap as their toys are smaller and you don't need to buy as much food! enjoy your new bird.

Parakeets are better for beginers, cheaper, require less space and time than cockateils.they are also less noisy but still give off plenty to hear. Cockateils are defenlty better friends they will interact with you in ways parakeets cant. They are much easier to tame but on the other hand make much more noise and are more hardy than the parakeets. I find them both good looking it just depends on you.

I really want a bird but a all the pets I have had in the past are 4 hamsters and 3 dogs (not all at the same time lol). What bird do you recommend for beginners?

Which bird is more hardy?

Which bird is less chirpy and chirps a little but not accesively?

Which is cuter?

Which one is a better friend?

Any other things I should know about either?

Thanks :)
