The Pickerel Frog
It is probably a southern toad, Bufo terrestris. Southern toads are distinguished by a couple of bumps on the top of the head between the eyes.
Might be a Fowler's toad but it is hard to tell. Can you give a rough geographic location and habitat type? Fowler's toads prefer sandy soil.
