Spider egg on ceiling?

Sounds like it could have been a moth larvae going through metamorphosis, or possibly a spider egg sac that has long since hatched.

Unhatched spider egg sacs will have the eggs proper, or the first instar spiders just developing legs:

Oh, for gosh sakes! Talk about overkill! You have a few cellar spiders. So sweep them away with a broom if you don't like them. Or you could use the 100% efficient method of just burning your house down.

Probably unhatched spider eggs. Spray regular flyspray on the ceiling. You can spray white vinegar around the room. Fresh crushed chestnuts repel spiders. There are other sprays with essential oils at the website below

I have found spiders living in the ceiling boards in my room. I wanted to gas the room but have not since we would have to strip the room and is a long process.

Today something white caught my eye that was hanging from the ceiling. I immediately got a cup assuming it was a spider egg. I had to scrape it off the ceiling with the edge of the cup.

I wanted to disect this white ball so I got some tweezers and tried stabbing it but it was really hard so I submerged it in water and little fibers were coming from the ball. I managed to open it but I didn't see spiders.

Any ideas what it could have been?
