There have not been tigers in North America since the Ice Age. They would not survive. The climate and eco-system is not able to sustain them. When people introduce new species it usually is to the detriment of others and has long lasting, unforseen negative consequences. Just look at Hawaii where the mongoose was introduced to control rats.
As an extra note, white tigers are not natural in that they are born with recessive genes, which can only happen through inbreeding. The white tigers are overbred and sold for large amounts of money. It's actually quite cruel. I will direct you to a big cat rescue's website to read more about that abuse if you're interested!
How about no. Never going to happen, never should happen. Learn something from all the other disastrous introductions of new species. FYI, there are cougars in the area fulfilling that role.
ITS NOT RIGHT!!! God made things for a reason. God didnt make tigers in cold weather. They wouldnt be native, and they would slowly adapt to the weather.
Where did you hear this. It is said by experts that it's too dangerous for Asiatic lions to enter the territory of Bengal tigers. The lions were actually driven from India by the tigers.
African lions obviously are in Africa, so tigers don't want to be put there. They may lose against a pride, but one on one the tiger wins easily.
This guy is trying to introduce tiger into Africa to protect the species from extinction in the wild. Though this idea is confusing me tigers are native the places with forests and rely on water and their specialized paw pads that make them silent, while walking on forest floor. So African plains don't seem to fit the tiger's ecological needs. Why don't we reintroduce some tigers into forested areas in North America, specifically British Columbia and Alaska. The first reason is their is not a lot of people. The second reason is that most of British Columbia is heavily forested. There are also many prey items that tigers could hunt, like elk and black-tailed deer. You could also introduce white tigers, along with orange tigers as white animals are considered sacred to native Americans. They could even evolve to eat new foods, like salmon. What do you think?
