One day old duckling is rolling its head/neck WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!?

Sounds like he has a disease like twirling disease. Do you have a heat lamp on him for warmth? Babies need extra warmth! Keep him away from your other pets and wash your hands after touching him so your other pets don't get exposed.

We found a duckling left on our open drive with no parents or any kind of duck to be seen apart from our Indian Runners. We also found a bigger yellow duckling in the woods and it didnt have any strength so we picked it up and went to our house and put him in a open shoebook with a blanket but he died 20 minutes after. Back to the younger one he doesn't walk on his feet he walks on his legs? Any idea why? I thought perhaps a jackdaw or crow got ahold of it but the mother duck got there just in time but the jack or crow dropped it on its feet? Should a one day old duckling be able to walk on its feet? And anyway about 5 minutes ago I put it in my hands to warm it up abit but it started rolling its neck and was rolling around in my hands. So I put it back in his box with the blanket to support him and chick crumb and water but this was the first time this one done it and we have had him safe in the house for 2 hours atleast.

But the main question is: What does it mean when a day old duckling rolls its neck and is there any way to help it and should a day old ducklng be able to stand and general duckling care. Thanks
