Trying to convince my mom to let me get a duck.?

I live in league city. And I've raised a pig. I did all the work and training and feeding by myself. I've even said that. And it's still not enough. Have any ideas?

Hey!

Make sure you're ready to look after it. Do lots of research before getting one. Read it's pros and cons.

Do house hold works, explain the advantages of having ducks in your house to your parents. Let them take their time to think. If they say no, ask them what is the reason and see if you could do anything. Show them you're very responsible. Tell them you'll take care of all it and pay for their needs. If there's any particular reason that they aren't letting you to get one, then understand it.

You can't have a pig or a duck in the city. Its illegal.

You clearly didn't have a pig. They are illegal in city limits.

Ducks need water. Do you have a big pond in your back yard? BIG! Very Big. Anyway, birds (of a feather) (all kids) flock together - you will need to have a few ducks. It would be grossly cruel to have just one duck. It will need a mate and you should probably have at least 6. That said, ducks fly. How do you expect to contain them in your yard? They will fly north for the summer or south for the winter. Wouldn't you be rather disappointed if they found a larger lake nearby and you never saw your pets again? Get a dog, a cat or a "pet" (domestic) bird.

Duck eggs are bigger than chicken eggs so you get more with one egg. Use that in an argument. But: ducks poop a lot, eat a lot and can't be alone. Reconsider having a duck and keep the poop in mind and the fact that you should have minimum two ducks... They also smell. A city might not be a good place for a duck

its about time to start warring about girls now. and get a good job so you can have what you want when you want it. maybe try fish. but remember everything alive has a right to have a good live. think of them first.
