i find elephants in northern Congo (garamba national parks) are forest Savannah hybrid
and they breed
You are correct in believing that species are reproductively isolated and that the savannah and forest elephants have been designated as different species. However, I would question your judgment that the elephants in Garamba National Park are hybrids. How do you know that?
Not being able to interbreed successfully is not what defines things as different species. The term species is usually taken to mean a group which is distinctly different and *in nature* does not interbreed with others of the same genus.
They are actually subspecies. Subspecies interbreed all the time.
then how can forest -savanna hybrid elephants occur and they breed
